Loungewear 2021

Heliopause

Coming out of a year in lockdown and an uprising that began in my city after taking a break from design over the winter of 2019 really caused my brain to have to need a hard reset.

That reset is coming in the form of my new collection Heliopause.

Heliopause in inspired by barriers and things greater than ourselves.

“The heliopause is the theoretical boundary where the Sun's solar wind is stopped by the interstellar medium; where the solar wind's strength is no longer great enough to push back the stellar winds of the surrounding stars. This is the boundary where the interstellar medium and solar wind pressures balance.”

I had actually started noodling around with the collection before my hiatus in 2019 and had just started buying fabrics for in a month or so before lockdown. I thought it would be nice to go back to the concept with a new way of viewing our changed world. Heliopause is a collection of what I’ve been lovingly calling “fancy outside pajamas” and “what dramatic ladies would wear while lounging by the pool in a 1960s soap opera.”
